| I've adjusted down from 177 to 175.7 for my final yield.
I waited till now because I wanted to see the 5 days forecast into the end of the month for my final analysis, and it has warmed since my last update last week. This will be my final yield.
Reason for lower is these very warm days and nights in late August DO NOT help ear weights at all for corn.
Record number of ears plus temps that will still be below average for the month of August equals a yield of 175.7 and production of 14.635 billion crop on 83.3 million harvested acres. If we would have stayed 5-6 degrees below normal like 04, or 09 we would have had a 180 crop. Not this year though. Looking like we will finish just 1-2 degrees below normal for August in the corn belt. But we also had a record cold July, so it will be interesting to see just how that figures in.
We will still make new lows down to at least 3.40 CZ into harvest. Were trading just a 168-170 crop now imo.
