West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12 | Futures were wrong John, now basis has to deal with it.
Computers, algorithms based on historic weather and price data, along with the seemingly endless supply of cheap, printed money, greed, and BS pushing a position too far in either direction has made the futures market the last several years a very poor way to determine "real" supply, demand and price.
I wonder if customers of mine like JD wish they, and the market would have cared a little more about producers bottom line? I'm positive their employees wish they both had...And so the snow ball begins to roll down hill...Again.
