SC Iowa | September futures contracts for both corn and beans are not reliable vehicles for using as a cash origination tool
Although both contracts go "into delivery" at the end of August, the entity buying the contract to force delivery is not going to get product to their house until Sept 20-30.....and via a very small stream as the short has a known quantity which must be loaded each day....
just a hazard of a marketing system that has to deal with mother nature.....and sometimes not too well
