The heck of it is an acrylic enamel system is five times easier to work with than just an enamel with or without hardener. You get the product along with very good instructions about how to mix the paint, activator, reducer, hardener etc.. I was kind of intimidated about using the stuff too because it was so expensive compared to the implement store paint. Ten minute after spraying my first gun full of the good stuff and I swore I would never again paint with straight enamel. The acrylic lays out much nicer and does not run anywhere near as easy. The best part is if you screw up a little and get a run or something you can shave it, scuff it and repaint in the next day because the stuff cures so quick.

I used the dual cartridge mask too and thought I was well protected. If I had know then what I know now I would have spent the money for a supplied air system or not done the painting. It runs in my mind that a decent supplied air system can be had for around $1200.
