Subject: RE: Question about pivots.

Southeast Wyoming
Wheel tracks are constant problem with center pivots in our area.  In the last couple of years the maker of "rotator" nozzles has came out with a 190° pattern nozzle; the neighbor swears by them, especially when used in conjunction with dragback nozzles.  I just renozzled one of my center pivots, using iwobs, except the first and second drop inside and outside the tower have dragbacks.  The dragbacks were developed locally and have a 180° nozzle weighted in a cone so that it always sprays up.  I was skeptical at first but they are working for now; the crop interfers with water distribution but if they reduce wheel track problems, some crop loss is okay.
