I'm thinking about starting a buyers group for fertilizer with some friends close by. Compile all of our requirements and let the fertilizer guys bid on it. Currently we're buying from 3 different suppliers so it's not like they'll get the business anyway. Any merit?
Already grouped with some other guys on seed for higher discounts, May add a few more guys.
Good idea, best to set up a corporation with all the members buying stock. You will need cash to buy truck load quantities at wholesale prices. All members will need on the farm storage big enough to hold complete truck loads. |
