I'm guessing like the other that it is an MT6xx allison, in which case the transmission is the least of your worries. They hold up in spreaders and sprayers as well as all sorts of other applications. Our trash guy got his first allison something like 20 years ago...said it worried him to death, but when he eventually had to have it rebuilt the cost wasn't much more then replacing a cluch in the other trucks, which he was doing about once per year.
