Subject: RE: Train experts, ekeller and others

Southern Indiana
The engines are connected with a emu cable that tells all the engines what the head engine is doing. They only have a foward, neutral, and reverse same speed either direction. There's no sleeping quarters but the seats are usually pretty comfortable especially the new BN and UP engines. CN engines do have a fold down seat/cot in them never folded it down to see what it does exactly. They usually have a hot plate to warm your food up on also or to make coffee. All the rest of the companies it's find a place on the engine to warm your food up.
GE engines what we call wide bodies have the quietest cabs and the newer they are the quieter they are. GM engines cabs are in my opinion are a lot louder then the GE's. There like everything else the older they get the louder they get.
We also run Distruputed power trains with engines on the head and rear of the train. The engines are linked up through a radio signal and will do what the head end is doing or you can have the rear end doing it's on thing using the computer in the cab.
I have seen a guest ride a engine is it allowed no.
