NW Iowa | I had Lithotripsy in 2002 after many kidney stone attacks. I had several stones in both kidneys. They only treated one of the kidneys at that time. I had a stint put in a few days prior to the lithotripsy. Three or four days after the treatment the stint was removed (painful) and I immediately started passing pieces of stone. Of course you had to screen your urine for at least a week if memory serves me right so you can collect the particles of stone. I quit counting after 50 or 60 pieces. I had the procedure at 9:00 am in the morning and was home before noon and was on "rest" for the balance of the day. Back to work on the next day. | |
