Subject: RE: CAT D6D Track adjuster

Somerville, Indiana
Front idler has to move forward to get enough room for cylinder to come out of the housing...Can take the yoke loose from front idler bearing housing and leave the idler sit, or break the track if you have alligator links...If the chrome is coming off the track adjuster probably need to replace it, instead of having to redo it later...Make sure the front idler support has very little vertical play or the seals will go out again...Fixed with new parts you probably won't have to worry about that side again...I know I am not very clear, email works if you need more.
