Western Ky. | I have to wonder how it is going to be possible to make use of 600+ horsepower trying to feed it with a 50" throat. I spoke with a ACCO engineer at a farm show who said this was becoming a big problem. Actually the term he used was "Crop mat compression". According to this fellow, the more
the crop mat is compressed in the feederhouse, the horsepower it takes to process it goes up exponentially. It seems like that 50" throat will be the bottle neck, but I am not an engineer. | |
