What about the guy that buys a new vehicle and never changes the oil or does any other maintenance because he knows he has warranty and he'll trade it before the warranty is up? That is the case more than you think, I'd be more concerned about that than I would if it had a "chip" or bigger tires. Do you think prices would go down drastically if manufacturers took away warranty completely? I'd have to see it to believe it.............but if they would I would be all for it. I asked a dealer about extended warranty one time, he said if that's all the confidence I have that I have to sell you a warranty I shouldn't be selling you this vehicle in the first place..........I thought that was a good point.
