Subject: First thing I'd check is

the slip clutch on the lower tailings auger. On my 9610 the clutch would slip sometimes, and like you I never found anything in it. Turn it back on and might run for a couple days or so. I found that the slip clutch hub was worn out. This made the spring have less pressure and the hub itself ran crooked. Sorry no experience with a 4420.
