I use a similar shear as above for cutting long ways, and a nibbler across. Or sometimes just a good pair of tin snips for across. Also have a shear to cut straight all the way across. Imagine a giant paper shear with the same currogations as your sheet metal. Jump up, put all your weight on the handle and make sure it cuts all the way through on the first try.
