the original crank is capable of driving 2 miles and unloading most of 600 bu of wheat without any engine oil, so I would think its pretty tough...scraped off the bearings and installed new, still running strong...The oil it didn't have it in was Rotella T if that makes any difference...this happened to a 51 M, Have to say I think they owe you a crank also.
