| I too was stunned by that thread a week or so ago. I had a similar situation in a business unrelated to cattle when my banker perceived weakness and looked for advantage agressively in ways that showed the bank is well aware of the advantage fine print in loan documents affords them. I suggest there is no such thing as a good bank but it is possible to have a good banker. An extremely shrewd business man and a banker with exceptional character can work together in a mutually profitable manner. Unfortunately most of us will spend our prime years toiling and sweating our way along just to keep the bank paid. Fractional reserve banking is a peculiar phenomenon and if I would have understood it as a young man I would have approached banking much differently. That is as nicely as I can say it. | |
