As with most things do not become greedy. With a narrow wheel base keep the bar narrow. With a short wheel base be ready to change the bar's height quickly.
One hint, you want a system that you can put water under pressure inside the bar to wash all the herbicide out of the wick material.
With round up I use distilled water as a carrier. The roundup maintains it's potency longer with mineral free water.
Another hint is to go slow, 2 mph is better than 5 mph. Plan to wipe the weeds from both sides. That is coming and going.
For your application, banvil is labeled for wicking.
Another suggestion, no additives! Additives just plug up the pores in the wick.
many people clamp the wick's frame to a front loader. On an old tractor I have a permanent hydraulic controlled raise and lowering. | |
