Yes, but it doesn't have to be a bad year! If your on the right side of the market and your brokerage account is sky rocketing, that can effect your family too! Seeing how much you can grow your net worth in the next 10 years, and in the mean time your children will be grown and gone in 10 more years, all the while you sat at your desk strategizing and counting your coins, not realizing you were losing precious time to play with your 10 year old son or daughter!
