I had a Vermeer 8 wheel (WR 20 I think) that did not work well in either thin or heavy hay. Both sides raised and lowered together. In thick hay it would wad up windrow. Could not make good windrow in thin hay. Was going to put a kicker on, but neighbor bought t it first. In right conditions it was a real time saver. Went back to Deutz rotary been using for many years.
