Had a 3/8" hose with the retractable reel in a service truck. Never have had good luck with the retractable reels but the flexzilla reel never let me down. Wouldn't buy any other type of hose and would probably buy that reel again. Not sure what they offer for 1/2" though. The 1/2" flexzilla I had was just a hose and not on a reel.
