Biggest choke point with my Tonutti, same basic design I am sure, is in heavy hay, that hay will hit the rake frame and hang up momentarily, enough so that it will catch and start riding up the rear wheels and ball up. I hate to tell you, but the only sure fire cure is going to be trading for a high clearance carted rake. You can bend the rake frame up at the rear and stop some of the catching, and you can drop the outside wheels and run it as an 8 wheel rake and take less, but that is about it. |
