Sandy Hook, MB | Hello Abmfarms
Is that the 1 with the frame in front of the wheels? I had a 3 PTH mount 10 wheel & got rid of it for that reason. I cut with a 12' haybine & the only swaths that I would double up were second cut alfalfa, first cut were heavy enough. If the swaths were light, it worked like a charm (as long as there was no wind blowing & the swaths were straight). I would travel about 10.5 to 11 miles an hour & on a good 1/2 mile long field I could double up about 21 to 22 acres/hr. But get into a spot where the swaths were a little heavier & it started rolling up some big balls of hay. I think the the ones with the frame behind the wheels are suppose to work better??? |
