Central IL | I've had the same problems with an 8 wheel Sitrex w/ kicker. I was ready to sell it until we started running it behind a tedder. It works a lot better now, but not perfect. Long stemmy alfalfa is the worst.
If it is your only option for raking, you may try lining the underside of the frame with poly or plastic sheeting to keep the hay from catching on the bars. That may get it to the back of the rake without bunching up. | |
