You are right.  I wrote wrong.  The 30W only is used in the transmission.  I was thinking wrong.  I was thinking like a 4 stroke where the crank of the engine has oil in it and was thinking that oil also was a lube for the transmission.  I am just not to sharp some times.  Thanks. for the heads up.
