Subject: RE: JD 348 knot issues

Iola, Texas
had a bottom hay dog spring missing but it baled the 600 with no issues. replaced it and by rust on the hay dog it probably has never had a spring on it. I did see a week spring on the bottom right so I took the middle spring and swapped the two. Will be getting 2 more springs and clips today just for GP.
Have not looked into the chamber. We did clean out hay when rebuilding the knotter frames and did several test knots and tweaks. But will look at that this afternoon. Will print out the two items and take with me. The JD manual really dosnt have a good picture of my exact issue.
I am running an airbaler at 14 PSI making 50lb bales 36" long we did move the PSI to 11 and still making decent density bales. Would lower density or higher density be the way to go?
