OK | I have just about decided to bite the bullet and purchase a new round baler. For the last few years, I generally cut and rake and my 87 year old neighbor bales with his old Vermeer baler, that's dang near as old as him. Long story short, hay on the ground yesterday that should be up in bales, got a half inch of rain on it, with more rain by Tuesday expected. I am looking at two different models of JD balers and leaning towards the 469 - it's a bigger, heavier model that will last me forever (we put up about 300 round bale/yr), but about $6200 more than the 459 model. Looking for thoughts and experiences with both these model balers - this will be my first round baler. | |
