Here's what I know.  In our neighborhood, a farming neighborhood which is surrounded by fields and over which high voltage power lines run there were 4 Valedictorians.  These were all kids who grew up on a farm surrounded by fields of corn and soybeans.  The fields were sprayed with the older herbicides and pesticides.  One kid grew up with those high voltage power lines over their house or within 50' of their room.  One went on to be and engineer, another is in banking, another is a senior software engineer and the last manages 2 diesel truck shops.  Their siblings have done quite good too.
