nw MN | I just see a lot of land-locked pot holes that cannot drain without tile. They must have been drained at some point by field ditches, waterways and road ditches, just wondering what the practice is when a county digs in main lines and tiles everything into them. Are you forced to block your field ditches so you become a water control structure when you connect to a county main tile? Any evidence of field ditches are long gone in those pictures. If those field ditches were still there the land could likely shed a lot of that water when the tile is backed up. But maybe you are not allowed to do that once everything is tiled? | |
