Subject: North Half of Iowa conditions

Central Iowa
I'm under the impression that we've got major damage in the best yielding ground in Iowa due to the last two weeks of rains. Can anyone post a rainfall map of the past two weeks that would show how much rain Iowa has received? The standing corn is just now starting to die where the water has been standing, so I'm thinking the dead areas will finally be realized. In pothole country, if you get 4 inches in a couple of days we tend to lose close to 5% of the total crop areas pretty quick. The corn that didn't drown out does look wonderful, but a lot of acres have been lost to the flooding. You guys up there got too much rain? Or am I way off here?

I've also heard of too much rain in parts of Illinois...can anyone comment on that?
