IL | I've had really good luck with ours. Have seen some where the hinge pins were worn and the wings got sloppy. Heard it blamed on running with box extensions while planting corn (folded out) to taking end rows too fast. I did see a few that had the wing wheel cylinder kit installed. From the factory there is nothing on the wings other than a "gauge wheel" which means theres a lot of weight hanging out there off the hinge point. My 1989 model doesn't have the hydraulic kit and it is tight at the hinges, so it's all in how big of a hurry your in on the end rows.
I've seen prices all over the place from $8k-$22k. You can find a very well kept unit that is field ready for around $14k. Look for one that has been updated to radial been meters. | |
