Morris, IL | No your right, that was a mistake and i'll fix it. I think what you said was about right. I'm sure when you buy the kit it's cheaper and i know they are cheaper at farm shows. Maybe next winter i'll be able to get a deal are local Peoria or Dekalb farm show.
What you saying makes sense to me as far as not needing better trash handling. My uncle owns a 444 corn head so we can harvest his corn. That corn head if kind of worn out, 37 acres a year is kind of hard to pay for updates. But anyway i don't have near the trash issue in his corn, can normally run to full shoe capacity in his corn. Maybe that is because it's wide rows, or maybe has to do with our management compared to his. This is comparing to 30" corn with our 643 corn head setup the same just in good condition. Got him to let us plant 30" rows this year so corn head is going to sit this year, hope to keep it that way.
