Subject: RE: Machine Shed

Bourbon,Indiana

sdred,

I don't have the pics here to show you , but I put up a shed in 2011. Was looking into the different insulation materials, but did not like what I saw. The guys who put up the shed convinced me that just using regular OSB plywood sheathing over the rafters would do the job. I looked at a few other sheds they had done and found no condensation issues when talking to those owners.

I still used vented ridge and overhangs (2') in the event I can scrape up enough money to turn the shed into a shop someday.

Plus.....I REALLY liked how the OSB stiffened up the shed roof. I helped put the sheeting down and could feel the roof stiffen up as more was added.

And I do not have to worry about birds/mice/other tearing into the insulation if they get in somehow....like I have seen in other sheds.

It has been almost three years now and I have had no (zero) condensation issues.

Edit: shed still has a dirt floor at the moment....
