southern MN | I did the venting as you say and no barrier.
It sweat some the first spring and I wondered if I screwed up..... The tin shed dad built in 1964 never sweat and has no venting at all.....
Anyhow once the ground under the building dried out, I have not had any problems the past 4 years or so.
I probably should have used the barrier tho, ounce of prevention!
