I don't think there is anything really wrong with the D-A planter units. I have always been intrigued by the closing discs on them. Parts might start getting harder to find, but I think they were an accurate air meter. Just different.

I imagine you could count the number of cells on the D-A disc and the number of cells or fingers on the Kinze meters and figure out a ratio-drive sprockets on row units might confuse the ratio some, though.
