Subject: RE: 15 inch tile

Claypool, IN
I have over 20 years of experience tiling. I would never consider putting single wall tile 15' deep. USE DUAL WALL!

This is not a job for the inexperienced. Hire it done or get really good on site advice. Even with dual wall, I would limit back fill depth as described above OR use pea gravel to back fill the first 15".

ADS can provide 13.5' sticks w/ gasketed bells, or, cut 20' in half if you get into wet soupy conditions. A trench box behind a hyd. excavator can be modified to work in less than ideal conditions w/ good success. Again, hire someone with this type of experience.

Wertenberger tiling in Claypool, Barry Kline Exc, and LDP Exc both in Warsaw can do this type of work with proper techniques. A good operator can easily lay dual wall tile on a one percent grade with good accuracy. We do it all the time.
