You can buy male/female star drive line, roll pin retains it in knuckle, I worked for a machine shop, done lots of them, to biggest issues we seen as mentioned is slip clutches being frozen manual states they need to be slipped at x amount of hrs, other issue was putting to big of a tractor, too much hp that wasn't desighned for mower, sold many 2500.00 dollar assemblies because of latter, Scott.
