| If you notch enough you can have four reverse gears. BUT if 3rd reverse is a bit fast, 4th reverse is road gear in reverse. There are also reports that they locked out 3rd reverse in the 4020, though it was in the 4010 because the reverse gears or synchronizing clutches couldn't quite handle the torque and broke easily. The input torque would be even more in a 4th reverse.
According to my operator's manual it does the same speeds in first reverse and 3rd and second reverse as 5th, so it would do about the same in 3rd reverse 10.8 mph at full hand throttle as in 7th which might be fast enough to get into real trouble.
