When I bought my 5.0, the ecoboost was $1000 more sticker price plus the 5.0 had an additional $1500 in discounts. I didn't want to gamble with new technology and the ecoboost only claimed to get 1 or 2 mpg better so it was an easy decision. I'm very happy so far with the 5.0.
