Kingston,Mi
My thoughts would be to spray/roll RhinoLiner or similar to the underside of the canopy roof to dampen or eliminate resonance and leave the posts alone and bolt them solid to the axle without rubber pads. Filling the posts then sealing seems to be a recipe for eventual rust and the posts are heavy or thick enough not to be the vibrating source of sympathetic sound. The canopy or roof should be the only resonating part of the assembly and the Rhinoliner should adsorb the sound and prevent vibration generated sound, and it is available in colors, whether they are exactly correct for your model or year is debatable.
