Alentejo, Portugal
That would be an option if I wouldn't have RTK. My question was what would happen if I would take just the display out of the tractor and put it in another. Leaving the modem etc in the other. But obviously that doesn't work. I have been very happy with my setup this spring making strips for planting my corn but not so much trying to follow those strips with the planter, steering manually. In some spots strips were hard to see due to following with a rotary harrow to break the clods so there will be some "odd shaped" rows when it comes up. I ordered a 2nd set of cables to put in the planting tractor but they came 3 days after finishing planting... Guy said 2-3 days, if they have it all on the shelf. (Trimble stuff here comes from Spain) So I said Ok. When I phoned him a couple of days later he said no, probably next week. I said 10 days... (3 and 10 sound very similar in Portuguese).
