Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I went through the steps indicated and found a reference to Norton in one of the startup items.
I unchecked the box and restarted the computer. I got a black screen asking me if I wanted to start the normal XP home edition or sometype of backup. It paused there for a bit and then started up as usual but without the Norton message.
So basically this accomplished what I had in mind but now I always get the black screen. Rechecking the Norton item resulted in the startup with the Norton message returning.
I'm thinking that I need to physically remove the Norton item rather than just unchecking it |
