| I agree with LNS8310, it is very often the wiper arm needs to be adjusted tighter (BFH will do it).
Another problem I had on the old JD100 (single knot system) was a very slightly bent bill hook itself (perhaps worn), pretty much invisible, but enough to make you pull your hair out on the extremely high tension Deere setup. I have never seen this on a Hesston (double knot system) because of the lower tension, but I assume it could happen at some point, requiring new billhook.
And I didn't quite get what happened to your tucker fingers, but make sure they are operating smoothly and in time as they can cause some strange occurences. Are your needles timed correctly as well? I forget their symptom, but their timing and angle is of course pretty critical. Run it through a few cycles by hand (put the kids to cranking on the flywheel, that was always my job so I never got to see how knotters worked until much older) to check. | |
