Alton, Ia | Well written Tom. I am not an ardent supporter of all checkoffs, frankly I think some of the market development money is total waste. HOWEVER, for the most part the money is well managed and well spent. I firmly support the practice that any commodity "tax" is applied equally and totally to all production. If it's not across the board, the first ones requesting refunds will be the same guys running around the funeral homes trying to rent more land, and I'm tired of subsidizing them.
