Hannibal, MO | There is a lot of different variables in your question. Older -12 and early -15 dozers have different engines. 61 has cummins 505 where the 65 had the komatsu 125 engine which is a bigger engine and higher hp. When they went to tier 3 they both got the same engine just different hp. Undercarriage depends if it an ex or px. Px is wide pad ex is shorter pads longer undercarriage. Ex are popular on the 65 where px is on 61 because the blade is wider. There was a straight 65E-12 that had steering clutches. Otherwise they both have differential steering and torque converter. Both are good dozers if they have been maintained. They do make a newer 65 with a 6 way blade. No idea of the numbering of it is. | |
