Southeast Florida | We had a D61 and it was a nightmare for us being use to CAT equipment. I think they're great machines as long as the dealer does all the work. When they get a little age on them they have poor resale value and parts are difficult to get. Dave Morgan fairly well summed up that issue. After owning 1 Komatsu dozer that was bought cheap to begin with I will never have another even if it was free. I our environment when we need a dozer it's usually because somebody is stuck in a sugarcane harvesting situation. We don't have time to fix junk and wait on parts. Our yellow iron is 100% CAT just for the parts and service because it damn sure isn't for the cheap parts. | |
