Subject: RE: Ontario planting progress survey

Thunder Bay, Ontario, Great White North
In my corner of the province, couple guys on sand have done a little tillage last week, but the inch on Monday night shut everyone down again. I was hoping to start fertilizer spreading on some higher ground tomorrow, forecast is for more rain Friday and the temperature isn't drying much out around here. Normally like to be done barley by mid May, corn should be half in the ground by now also. With our short season we need every day we can get, have planted corn first week of June but there is a good chance of it getting frozen off before it makes silage.
