Pigs stay on the farm, hogs go to slaughter. Plan on one good crop per year and don't get greedy.
Wheat plus forage crop works every year.
DC Beans works 2/5 years here. High risk, high reward. If we have really good wheat then the beans sux. Ed has a longer growing season and can have success almost every time.
Rye can be planted later, wait till spring and come up and still be a good cover.
