Subject: Now I like that Statement.

Little River, TX

a lot better results from fertilizer that comes in truckloads than quart bottles.

Actually foliar does have a value, for some crops and for some essential elements.

For Grafted Pecans a foliar Zinc, Usually NZn is needed, regardless.

For cotton a little potassium during a critic period, for some soils. If that works THEN increase the potash in the regular fertility program. Even if the "Soil Analysis" says there is plenty of potassium.

I saw some improvement with Chelated Copper. Used chelated copper until the soil applied copper started showing some results.

True story, I think.
A friend of my Fathers was a Farm Manager in Louisiana. He believed their rice needed zinc. Started putting zinc out. Five years there was no visible improvement. Expected the owner to fire him but the owner stuck with his manager. You guessed it, the sixth season there was an obvious response.

A Perdue Grad Student wrote a paper, saying if you over apply excessive amounts of phosphate, yield will fall off. BUT with excessive amounts of phosphate, IF we load up on the potassium yields do not suffer.
