nw MN | I agree, corn is looking very unlikely for me this year as well. I would jump at the chance to have mud pushing on only 3 row units right now! I get a kick out of the southern guys talking about the shame of taking PP. It's a little different when you can start putting down your PRE's and fertilizer in February and planting anywhere from March to June.
Used to plant everything with a press drill, 80 acres was a GOOD DAY and it took 2 weeks to get the crop in the ground. Now it's like you say, we have tiny windows to get anything done. I haven't had to PP anything yet, I have geared up to get it done sooner, but I have reached a limit where I run out of help before Machinery capacity. PP is looking like a possibility this year.
I drove through your neighborhood on Hwy 15 Monday, it looks like you are saturated and were getting more rain. Any corn in the ground? | |
