Subject: Northwest Kansas Temps

Colby, Kansas
We only had concerning temps in our northwestern most counties. I have plotted temperatures vs. time for Cheyenne, Sherman, Wallace, Thomas, and Greeley counties. Beyond that (Sheridan, Wichita, Hamilton) I did not see temps in the record that were concerning.

We were really right on the borderline of damaging temperatures. Differences in moisture will make a difference, Wallace did not receive the moisture in the past few days that Cheyenne did for example. I'm sure some damage will show in 10 days - 2 weeks, but I don't think we had widespread acreage losses last night. For those reading, freeze damange to wheat info can be found here: http://bit.ly/1hJHmmc

Colorado Hourly Weather Data (as I post this they don't have anything from after midnight into the system yet, I bet it updates soon)

Nebraska, I used to have a bookmark for their public hourly data but can't get to it now without using my subscription.
